The Zoning and Planning regulations relative to the site determine what will be located during the survey. Buildings, driveways, fences, sidewalks, landscaping and decks are located and if needed elevations can be determined for slopes.
The site plan itself shows the location of existing improvements on the lot, building setbacks, type of zoning, percentage of lot usage and other features as required by local Zoning and Planning regulations.
